Instead of one-off aid, AID helps families earn a steady income. It has provided 574 income-generating assets to 688 families, benefiting over 3,200 people. These include livestock, sewing machines, grocery shops, vans, rickshaws and boats. Families are selected carefully and given an asset matched to their local market, plus training and 12 months of follow-up until they become self-reliant.
